The H2A Association is a consortium of Evos, ECOLOG, Port of Amsterdam, Sunoco LP, Hydrogenious, the Municipality of Amsterdam, the Project Office North Sea Canal Area, North Atlantic, Silverpeak, and Holthausen Clean Technology; all significant players in the hydrogen value chain. The consortium partners are keen to further develop and demonstrate the use of safe and cost-effective hydrogen technologies, supported by concrete projects in hard-to-abate transport and industrial sectors.

Evos is a leading liquid energy and chemicals storage company, operating at the heart of Europe’s energy supply chains. Our goal is to be the preferred partner in the energy transition. That is why we are working closely with partners such as H2A to support the shift toward more sustainable forms of liquid energy and to help establish Amsterdam as a key hub in the global hydrogen economy.
As global demand for hydrogen rises and governments sharpen their climate commitments, industry leaders are stepping up to shape the future of clean energy. Ecolog has emerged as a key player in advancing liquid hydrogen solutions, particularly through focused lobbying efforts that aim to create a supportive regulatory environment.
As the one of the largest ports in Northwest Europe, the port of Amsterdam is a leading player in the international world of transport and logistics, and has a long history as a strong energy hub. As part of the North Sea Canal Area, the port of Amsterdam benefits from direct links with miscellaneous industries, Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and the capital of the Netherlands.
Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating in over 40 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals.
Information will follow soon.
The North Sea Canal Area (NSCA) in North Holland is emerging as a strategic hub for Europe’s transition to green energy, particularly in the development of the hydrogen economy. Situated along the North Sea coast and in close proximity to the large offshore wind farms being developed in the region, the NSCA has a unique advantage. By 2050, up to 70 GW of offshore wind energy will be transmitted onshore to the IJmond region, providing a significant source of electricity that can either directly power industry or be converted into hydrogen, close to its generation point. This positions North Holland as an ideal location to develop a thriving hydrogen economy.
H2A is pleased to welcome North Atlantic as the newest member of our growing association. Their membership marks a significant step forward in H2A’s mission to accelerate the development of hydrogen import supply chains through the Port of Amsterdam.
Silverpeak is a premier alternative investment firm specializing in real estate and energy, with a focus on unlocking long-term value through disciplined, strategic investments.
